I ordered the salmon tartar as an appetizer before my crouching tiger roll. it was served with raw quail egg over it, which is a little twist on the standard beef tartar being served with a raw chicken egg. it also came tossed in basil-infused olive oil, roasted pine nuts, lemon, shaved diakon radish, and salmon roe.
I also ordered a cucumber roll off of Maru’s maki roll menu. a traditional, smaller roll, this was the perfect accompaniment to the salmon tartar. refreshing and crunchy, it’s a personal favorite.
