Apt. in Hell’s Kitchen

I rented a single-bedroom apartment in Hell’s Kitchen and the location was just great. it was only a short walk to the edge of Central Park and to the subway. and since it was above a Chinese restaurant, it didn’t get lots of foot traffic, like a hotel would. it was nice and private, something totally different. it felt like a home – well, someone does live there when they’re not renting it out! definitely cool and would totally try it again somewhere else too. scored this through airbnb.

Thom hooked me up with a robust coffee from Trader Joe’s to use in his French press, raw sugar, and a small carafe of milk in the fridge.

the background of the image is the kitchen and dining area. Thom had a great decor going – industrial mixed with bright primaries and simple geometric designs. very eclectic and homey.

Columbus Circle at night – very near the apt.
